<\/span>As per the German Federal Lawyers Act, attorneys are required to maintain a professional liability insurance with a minimum insurance sum of 250,000 EUR. The details are found in Article 51 of the German Federal Lawyers Act.<\/p>\n

The following are insured: liability claims arising out of (1) activities in connection with the consultation and application of European law; (2) activities of the attorney in front of European courts. Worldwide in the amount of the statutory minimum insurance amount for liability claims made by the policyholder in front of non-European courts. The insurance coverage does not include liability claims arising out of activities from offices set up or maintained in a non-European country.<\/span><\/p>\n
